Southeast Asia spans a massive latitude range, which means weather patterns vary dramatically from north to south and east to west.

November to February is peak season for Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam — dry, warm and sunny. This is also when prices are highest and popular sites are busiest.

March to May is hot season. Temperatures can hit 40°C in inland Thailand and Myanmar. Beach destinations remain pleasant with afternoon breezes.

June to October brings the monsoon to most of the region. But monsoon does not mean non-stop rain — typically you get a heavy downpour for an hour or two, then sunshine. Prices drop dramatically and the landscapes turn lush green.
